David Duehren
David Duehren co-founded Brooktrout Technology in 1984 and served as Board director and CTO, guiding the company from startup, through its IPO in 1992 (NASDAQ:BRKT), growth and maturation phases; culminating in acquisition. Brooktrout, a manufacturer of voicemail and computer-based facsimile equipment, had peak revenues of $140M and over 300 employees. The company sold to enterprises and to telecomm equipment suppliers and service providers.
He is a senior executive with more than 20 years’ experience managing technology and product development and building world-class organizations. He has expertise in strategy, product planning and development, intellectual property management, technology licensing and integration. He has experience in acquisitions, marketing and sales. He holds several patents.
Currently David is a consultant to early stage companies in a variety of industries providing guidance and implementation in business plan development, marketing, intellectual property, and financing. David is a mentor for the MIT Venture Mentoring Service (VMS).
David received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from MIT. He has broad and deep technical knowledge particularly in the realms of hardware and software.
